Magnificent Japanese Edo 19th Century Satsuma Koro – Elephant. Japanese Edo Period (mid 19th century) Satsuma Koro in a shape of an elephant with a removable pierced lid with fine gilded decorations. The lid has decorative pierced openings. The Koro is very detailed and beautiful. It comes with a rosewood base. The Koro is in excellent condition with no losses, no damages and no restorations; there are a few original bake imperfections. 13 3/4″ x 8 1/2″ x 6 1/2 (without a base).
