Fine and very rare blue and white Kakiemon type decoration with landscape and many figures and fishermen in boats, wonderfull blue. The vase is original japanese arita and dates from the 17th century, so guaranteed over 300 years old. The clock is a later addition, French and dates from the 19th century, works well and runs on time. The vase is in perfect condition so no chips, no cracks and no restoration. This off course apart from the 2 holes that are made, probably in the 19th century to mount the clock. The cover is original and also in perfect condition. The hight is 63 cm / 25.2 inch and the body is circa 40 cm / 16 inch in diameter. A top quality japanese clock vase, with rare decoration, wonderful and hard to find!
